2023년 1월 이재승 센터장님의 해외교류출장
지난 1월 8일부터 1월 16일까지 이재승 센터장님께서 스웨덴과 벨기에를 방문하셔서 노르딕-베네룩스 센터의 국제교류활성화를 위한 다양한 활동을 수행하셨습니다.
먼저 스웨덴에서 이재승 센터장님은 Institute for Security and Development Policy와 스톡홀름 대학 등을 방문하셔서 관계자들과 노르딕-베네룩스 센터와의 교류협력증대를 논의하셨습니다.
다음으로 벨기에서 이재승 센터장님은 브뤼셀 자유대학과 루뱅 카톨릭 대학 등을 방문하셔서 관계자들과 노르딕-베네룩스 센터와의 교류협력증대를 논의하셨습니다.
이와 더불어 이재승 센터장님은 EU-집행위원회 관계자 및 주 벨기에 윤순구 대사님과 한-EU관계의 현황 및 한-EU 수교 60주년 관련 행사에 대해 논의하셨습니다.
이재승 센터장님의 활동을 통해, 노르딕-베네룩스 센터는 코로나 시기동안 주춤해진 국제교류를 재활성화할 수 있는 토대를 마련하였습니다. 따라서 노르딕-베네룩스 센터는 이를 잘 활용하여 새로운 국제교류를 지속적으로 창출할 것입니다.
From January 8 to 16, Prof. Jae-Seung Lee (Director) visited Sweden and Belgium for the purpose of international exchange of the Nordic-Benelux Center.
In Sweden, he paid a visit to the Institute for Security and Development Policy and the University of Stockholm to discuss a potential cooperation agreement and joint research/student exchange programs
In Belgium, he paid a visit to the Free University of Brussel and the Catholic University of Louvain to discuss research and students exchange programs.
During the visit, Prof. Lee had a dialogue with the European Commission and the Korean Ambassador to Belgium, Soongu Yoon.
The aim of the dialogue was to discuss the relationship between Korea and EU and the occasion of 60th diplomatic anniversary between Korea and the European Union.
Through this visit, the Nordic-Benelux Center was able to build a basis for cooperation with the Nordic Universities and Institutions that were difficult during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The visit is significant in that the Center will constantly explore more opportunities to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation with the Nordic-Benelux institutions.
